300ZX OEM Decals.

Since the launch of my reproduction decals there has been several folks that have asked me about the position of the OEM decals. Although I am not an expert on all of the years, I am getting a pretty solid understanding of which decals came on which models.

First lets start off with the decals that are common to all years/ models:

-Anti-Freeze Coolant (Found on left side upper radiator core support) These come in either silver or gold.
-Platinum Tipped Spark Plug Decal (Found on left side of center upper radiator core support)
-Spark Plug Timing Instructional decal (Found on left side of the center of the hood attached to hood insulator
-Recommended Engine Oil Decal (Found on the upper left side of the hood)
-Brake Booster Part Number Decal (Yellow, Red, Green and different part numbers depending on year and LHD/RHD.
-Radiator Cap Warning Decal (Shown Below)

Next there are decals that depend on certain configurations:
-R12 Decal (Large Silver Decal found near the hood latch on early year Z32s)
-R134 Decal (Small baby blue decal in upper center of hood on late model year Z32s configured for R134. Fun Fact! This decal says "Nissan in USA Carson, CA"
-VG30DETT Vacuum Diagram (On hood to the right of Recommended Oil Decal)
-VG30DE Vacuum Diagram (On hood to the right of Recommended Oil Decal)
-Airbag warning decals (2 different decals, one large one that is placed on the right side of the hood on the hood insulator, and another small decal that is placed on the driver side shock tower near the fender ledge)

-4WAS/ ABS Brake Booster Decal ( Early Z32s have 4WAS decals and later models have ABS decals ,hopefully soon I can get more information.

Paint Care Notice (large silver decal that explains the proper care and cleaning of the factory clear coat. So far I have found these decals on the right upper radiator core support and on the hood insulator.
Emissions Decals: There are a TON of different emissions decals. They are different for every year and engine configuration. In addition, California spec cars had their own emissions label. So my rough math puts it at around 24 emissions decals (NA/TT and US Federal for the 6 USDM Production years.

Other unique decals:
-1990-1993 PTU Recall Decal (Small metallic decal found either on the hood or on the core supports. It was placed by dealerships. In the case of my 1990 TT, It was found on the right core support.
-Hard Clear Coat Decal- Small metallic decal placed on late year red, black, green, and purple cars
-Timing Belt Service Performed

Its worth noting that all of these observations are for USDM spec cars. In my conversations with those abroad I have seen several variants of the decals stated above, either in Japanese, French, and German or combination.
Australia Spec cars have unique emissions labels as I'm sure other countries do as well.

I'm sure I've missed a few, but this is something I will keep posting about as I learn more.

My intent is to have high quality reproductions of every decal that ever came on the chassis, so far I have a couple of dozen designs, with new designs printing daily. If you have any special requests, please email BlasterZgarage@gmail.com
