Why do I call myself Blaster Z?

SE Asia Circa 2011 US WW2 Bomb recovered from a old runway.
For those who don't know me personally you may not know my day job. When I am not in the workshop working on the Z or making parts I spend my days serving in the United States Navy as an Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technician. If you don't know what that is, think of a parachuting, deep sea diving McGuyver type who can identify, render safe, and dispose of any type of military ordnance and explosive.
So when it came time to choose a handle on the renowned 300ZX Forum Twinturbo.net I chose to take on the handle of Master_Blaster as a nod to my EOD career. The Z32 project was then named Blaster and now here we are as Blaster Z Garage.

If you want to know more about what Navy EOD technicians do, here is a video and a short documentary.

  • Damn – thank you for your service for both the USA as well as the Z community ;-) Now I know why you chose your handle!
